Update 4/5/15 Check out my training video
Hello Family, Friends, and Co-Workers:
I am excited to share my intention to run the 2015 Boston Marathon. As you may or may not know running has become a huge part of my life over the last 2 years after I ran the Pittsburgh Marathon in honor of my former boss, mentor, and great friend, Philip Smoker in 2012 to help support the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's. To date I've completed 1 full marathon (Pittsburgh) & 7 halfs (Detroit, Pasadena, Providence, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Chicago, and Las Vegas).
In September of 2013 I moved to Boston and joined the McDonald's Corporation. During that time period I've had the opportunity to learn more about the Ronald Mcdonald's House Charities and the incredible things they do for families and the community. I've seen many of my co-workers take leadership positions at chapters in the Boston Region, owner operators spending a ton of time and resources to help support the charity, and restaurants activating to raise money throughout the year.
I believe in the vision of the Ronald McDonald House Charities "that when you change a child’s life, you change a family’s, which can change a community and, ultimately, the world."
I have been touched by the countless hours I've seen the McFamily dedicate to this organization and wanted to do something to help raise funds for this great cause.
I would like to thank Boston Region Owner Operator, Sal Napoli, and the Boston Ronald McDonald House for giving me the opportunity to run the 2015 Boston Marathon for their charity. It is my goal to raise $10,000. I look forward to sharing training and fundraising updates up until I run on April 20, 2015.
Thank you for your help and support!
