Bottom Line is dedicated to helping low-income, first-generation students get in to college, graduate from college, and go far in life. We achieve this by providing one-on-one guidance and support to students from college applications until college graduation. 78% of our college students have earned their bachelor’s degree in 6 years or less. When you consider that nationally, only 9% of the lowest income students will earn their bachelor’s degree by age 24, our results are truly remarkable.
Our work is especially important in New York City. Only one-third of NYC high school graduates are earning college degrees. Bottom Line fills a gaping hole in the suite of college focused programs available to students in the City, because we focus on the successful completion of college in addition to college access support.
In the next year, Bottom Line will support 415 high school seniors and 1,725 college students at 20 colleges in New York City and State. With the help of generous supporters like you, by 2020, we will expand to serve at least 475 Access students and over 3,000 Success students each year.
Our Bottom Line New York Team Go Far will run 26.2 miles on November 6, 2016, and we hope you will consider supporting our runners. All proceeds from the TCS New York City Marathon will help us continue to expand our successful programs, so we can help even more young New Yorkers get in to college, graduate from college, and go far in life. On behalf of the students we support, thank you!
