Nicole Bulow wrote -Established in 1974, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ozaukee County, Inc. (BBBS Ozaukee) is an independent, not-for-profit, youth mentoring organization that matches Ozaukee County children in need of a special friend to caring adults who take an active interest in their welfare and well-being. Affiliated with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, each friendship or match established by BBBS Ozaukee is carefully administered and supported by rigorous standards and trained personnel. BBBS Ozaukee strives for matches that are not only safe and suited to the child’s needs, but also are harmonious and built to last. That’s why we take such care in selecting volunteers, orienting them and matching them with children. But BBBS Ozaukee staff are more than “matchmakers”. They provide ongoing support and guidance to the Big, Little and the Little’s Family, which helps create caring and fun mentoring relationships that make a profound and lasting impact in the lives of children. Mission: Provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. BOWL FOR KIDS SAKE: How It Works: Gather your “mateys”. Teams are formed with five or six members. Consider creating a team with family, friends, co-workers, or your scurvy mates. Each bowler is asked to raise a minimum of $75 in pledges and will receive a free t-shirt, great food, two games of bowling, and a fun party! Check in your “crew”. Arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled shift at Harbor Hills Recreation Center to turn in your collected treasure and enjoy great grub from fabulous local restaurants. Only Employer Matched & Qualified Per-Pin Pledges will be billed. (Make sure addresses are provided) Have fun bowling—9 pin tap!
