Team Tomeka is back and stronger than ever! Thank you to everyone that helped me raise money for my student last year! This year I am raising money for 2 students. The first student is Makeda. I will share about my next student after we reach the $500 mark. Here is a little bit about Makeda.
Have you or someone close to you ever been bullied? Please explain the situation and outcome?
"When I was in elementary school I was over weight and children would pick on me. When i got to middle school I was shunned by a group of "friends" and they began to spread rumors about me. The end results of both if these stages in my life are that they left me with self esteem issues, but made me a stronger person.
What would you like to gain from your experence at PALS?
"I would like to gain more understanding of different perspectives of different races, identities, and sexual orientations."
On Sunday, July 9th join us at “Brunch and Bowl to Strike out Bullying” and help raise money to support NVEEE's Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit (PALS) for high school students. Whether you are a young professional just entering the workforce, or someone more seasoned and ready for retirement, we can all agree on one thing, BULLYING SUCKS! This is an opportunity for you to make a difference in the lives of young people in South Florida schools by connecting with other young professionals and network for a good cause.
1. Register as an Individual Bowler.
2. Then select and Join a Bowling Lane Team.
3. Share your Bowling Lane Team page with your friends and family to start fundraising.

Your donation will help cover the cost of housing, meals, t-shirts, and tuition for at-risk and low income students to attend PALS, a 7-day leadership conference for students who commit to being upstanders instead of bystanders when it comes to bullying and harassment.
