BENEFITING: WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
EVENT DATE: Oct 17, 2015
HOURS PLEDGED: 120
Mileage Tracker: 500
I am running the 2015 Northface Endurance Challenge 50 mile race located outside of Madison, WI. I am running to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project. The funds will go to help those warriors that sacrificed for their country. My inspiration comes from my uncle, Bob Johnson, who is suffering from the affects of Agent Orange from his time in Vietnam. I want to raise funds not only for my uncle, but for all warriors that were wounded in their service. There is a small fundraising goal, but the sky is the limit! If the goal of the fundraiser is reached I will try and do the race military style, which means with a ruck sack, boots, and pants. So please donate because I am dying to try this race military style!
Warriors wounded in their service have sacrificed for their country, so why can't we sacrifice a little for them? Come on a dollar or two would suffice (but I'm sure they would appreciate more), so lets be generous and raise some money!
The race will take place on October 17th, 2015.
Lets keep up the good work and start bugging people to support and donate.
Posted in the pictures so far is three generations of the Johnson family serving in the Armed Forces. Grandpa Johnson (aka James Johnson) serving in the Army Air Corps during WWII, looking pretty sharp. Uncle Bob, who is the inspiration for the run, is in the vietnam era photos, and lastly yours truly in Iraq.
