BENEFITING: BRAIN TUMOR FOUNDATION
ORGANIZER: BRAIN TUMOR FOUNDATION
Dad passed away from a Brain Tumor at the young age of 58, six years ago. He was a happy, healthy and active man. A friend in his early 30's has also been recently diagnosed with a similar tumor to Dad's and he is going through Chemo and Radiation Therapy. This is a cause close to my heart.
This disease does not discriminate. I find it hard to think about the fact that brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer death in children and that it's estimated that over 1,000,000 people are currently living with an undiagnosed Brain Tumor.
I told Xina (my wife) last year that I had retired from marathons, however, the opportunity to raise money for this important cause and to do it at the New York marathon felt like a good reason for a comeback.
Please help me in raising money for The Brain Tumor Foundation.
