Meet The Mamula’s: Brannon and Amy.
Brannon and Amy are one amazing couple. Brannon is dedicated to his family, his friends and his quest to be the best man he can be. Brannon is someone you can count on to be there and help you with whatever it is you need, whether it’s to move a heavy piece of furniture or listening and giving you support. He is the husband every girl dreams of having and the friend everyone is lucky to have.
Brannon is an avid outdoorsman and loves camping with his friends. His main passion is to mountain bike, and is even on the board of directors of a non-profit organization for cycling and trail advocacy (TORCA). He is also a brilliant musician and talented artist.
Brannon’s wife, Amy, is a compassionate and strong woman who is loyal to the core. Both Brannon and Amy have been known to raise money for others in need and now they need our help!
As this power couple was gearing up to start a family of their own, some red flags began popping up. Brannon is now in the fight against Testicular Cancer. He was diagnosed five weeks ago and underwent surgery four weeks ago to remove the tumor. Luckily, it was tentatively diagnosed as Stage 1, but unfortunately it came back as Rhabdomyosarcoma, which is both rare and aggressive in adults. He must now go in for another, more serious abdominal surgery (RPLND) to remove possible infected Lymph Nodes near his kidneys. Depending on the outcome of this will determine the next step in treatment.
We are trying to raise funds for the cost of treatments, medications, travel expenses (to the Mayo Clinic out of town), and medical expenses from the previous surgery and imagery.
Brannon works at a small machine shop that doesn’t offer paid medical leave or personal time off, so we’re also trying to raise funds for cost of living that will be lost during Brannon’s four-week recovery following the next surgery.
The Mamula’s would like to thank all of you for your prayers and support through this time of need. By helping them financially, they will be able to focus on Brannon’s recovery. Brannon and Amy have done so much for our Tucson community, it’s now our turn to help support them.
