Are you Brave Enough to stand up for whats right? Are you willing to stand up and be the change we all wish to see in this world? If so, donate now to a great cause.
My college class is doing a project to raise awareness on a topic of our choice. I immediately thought about thought about Gun Violence because just about a month ago there was a shooting in the parking lot of my work while I was outside with my boyfriend and my co-worker. This guy came barreling around the corner in his car screaming he had been shot. It was the most traumatic experience I've ever had. Two days later there was another shooting just up the street. This isn't common for this area and it really had me worried to even be outside. My team agreed to do our project on Gun Violence awareness and we needed to find a way to get our message out, a way to help. My first thought was, how do these people get their hands on guns anyways? Not everyone who has a gun has committed a crime or has a bad record, but our team thought that if we could at least prevent those who do have records from getting their hands on a gun then it had to lower the gun violence rates, right? That is when I found the Brady Campaign, and they are all about making background checks mandatory for all gun sales. In some states it is already a law, but we want it to be a law everywhere. My team is here to raise money for Gun Violence Awareness to help our country take another step in the right direction.
My team would like all proceeds to go to the Brady Campaign in supporting their mission to make background checks on all gun sales a law in all states. We hope that this will bring awareness to this fast growing problem in our country and bring support to the victims and their families who have been affected by Gun Violence.
