Brave for Bryant
Organized by: Caitlin Wampler
Monday, April 21, 2014, started as a normal day, and quickly changed into a day that the Hennessy family will never forget.
Bryant, age 3, had some bruises that Carolyn & Jeff (Mom & Dad) thought were kind of funny, and after talking in the morning, they decided they needed to go to the pediatrician. The pediatrician looked at his blood work and recommended they quickly go over to VCU for further tests.
After further test, they were told the heartbreaking news that their son, Bryant, has Pre B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This is the most common type of Leukemia for his age and currently has a 95% cure rate.
The preliminary plan is that Bryant will have 6 months of intense chemo followed by 2 1/2 years of maintenance chemo. Bryant has been so brave through it all thus far and his strength really encourages all who meet him!
Please help support this family financially as they will have to take time off from work, and try to figure out a way to pay all the medical bills. Help the Hennessy family battle the cancer, not worry about the cost!
