THE STORY:

Welcome to the Braveheart Running Challenge! We’re a team of 100 people running the Princeton Half Marathon (and several other races around the country) in support of ending child abuse through raising money for the Humanity Preservation Foundation. The HPF is a 501c3-registered non-profit and does amazing work in schools and businesses and other organizations to educate children and adults on ways to prevent abuse of all kinds.

We believe that every child deserves to grow up safe and loved. Child abuse is staggeringly prevalent in American society yet is often overlooked:

-Over 33% of children experience physical, sexual and/or psychological and emotional abuse.

-Yearly, referrals to state child protective services involve 6.6 million children

-The financial impact of new cases of abuse and neglect in 2008 alone was $124bn. That could send 1.7M children to college.

Our goal is to raise $100K. Please join us!
