March of Dimes Breadlift
EVENT DATE: Nov 18, 2017
DEADLINE TO GIVE: Dec 18, 2017
A 57 year fundraising tradition, students asking for donations to March of Dimes in exchange for a loaf of bread (donated by Aunt Millie's)
Student teams work to save babies together by going door-to-door in our
hometowns, accepting donations in exchange for a loaf of bread (provided by Aunt Millie’s and the March of Dimes).
When: Saturday, November 18, 2017
Students gain a sense of accomplishment for a good cause, one to which
they can relate. They learn what it means to have a healthy pregnancy and a full-term child. Every week in Michigan 295 babies are born before they are ready; many so small they could fit in the palm of your hand. Each year in Michigan, 1,056 infants die before reaching their first birthday. We believe this must change. We ask your high school students to help us give every baby a healthy start.
