BreakDown International and Unite 4 Africa are COMING TOGETHER raising funds to bring 75 youth leaders from 8 countries in Africa to the BreakDown Africa Conference! Please read on....
This July 28th-August 2nd BreakDown International, a peer-to-peer outreach program that spreads the message of purity through the performing arts, will be going back to Uganda, Africa to conduct the first BreakDown Africa training conference. BreakDown has reached 75,000-100,000 young people in the United States in recent years, but that is just a fraction of what is possible through the BreakDown teams in Africa!
In 2005 God gave the founder of BreakDown a vision that the giant of AIDS in Africa would be slain by the youth, the same youth that have been impacted and devastated by the disease. These modern day “David’s” are from impoverished, war-torn countries where rape and genocide are commonplace, and many of them have also been orphaned by AIDS, or in some cases infected themselves. These are the young people taking a stand against AIDS that make up the BreakDown teams in Kampala, Uganda, Northern Uganda, Rwanda, the Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, and Burundi. THESE are the young people that we are raising funds for so they can be a part of this vital training conference. We will be working with these young people and teams to help train and equip so they can bring the life-saving message of purity and hope to their communities all over Africa.
It is extremely expensive for Africans to travel from one country to another in Africa, considering that the average monthly income is $100-$150 a month, which is why we need YOUR help.
Our goal is to sponsor 75 youth leaders from 8 different countries in Africa! It will cost only about $89 per African team member to attend, an amount that is out of reach for these young people, but probably not for us in the United States.
Will you consider sponsoring one (or more) of these young people?
