The annual Break the Cycle Event is Western New York's opportunity to bring the community together in a peaceful and fun environment while reminding us the reality of Domestic Violence (DV). This year will be an important year as it will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Tribute Garden, a permanent, living memorial to honor domestic violence victims, survivors, and their families. I ask you to support my participation for the benefit of the Tribute Garden. It serves to remind the public of the existence of DV, those affected a place to find some peace away from home, those who have survived a place to reflect on their perseverance and strength, and those who have lost someone to DV an opportunity to reflect on treasured memories and find comfort in knowing their loved one is not alone nor are those left behind. Not only did I leave all but my children and some belongings in AZ to move to NY to escape DV, but after two years of being back I lost my lifelong friend and cousin Jackie Wisniewski to a DV murder. Please join me for the event (preferred) or donate to my team in supporting my participation in it. Thank you, friends.
