Let's increase awareness of breast cancer! We can decrease breast cancer by educating ourselves about the importance of early detection and screening, risk factors and treatment. Everything that I fundraise will be donated to Susan G. Komen, a non-profit breast cancer organization. They are making a big impact in our society, please visit http://ww5.komen.org for more information. I don't have a fundraising goal, what we achieve to fundraise, no matter how big or small, will make a difference! Remember, the money you donate goes DIRECTLY to Susan G. Komen. My mother is a survivor. But I have lost very important people in my life due to breast cancer. I lost my grandmother and my Oklahoma Mom, Eileen Echols. David and Eileen Echols helped me and my brother go through college by helping with many aspects and I will be forever grateful. I was lucky enough to live with them for 7 years. My brother currently lives with David, and lived with Eileen for almost 3 years. This is why I am running the San Francisco Marathon (2nd Half-13.1 miles) in honor of M. Eileen Echols. I pray and wish for a world without cancer!
