Breezy Point, NY was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. This community of 2836 homes suffered major damage by fire and water. During Hurricane Sandy a six-alarm fire was reported at Oceanside Avenue in Breezy Point around 11pm on October 29, 2012. The New York City Fire Department faced several blocks of houses on fire. The fire has been put out and is now smoldering. 111 homes have been destroyed.
All of the other homes have suffered severe water damage when the Ocean met the Bay in this small Peninsula community. Some were even swept out to sea by the violent storm.
We need your help to buy supplies, generators and sump pumps to restore this community. In-kind donations and use of equipment is OK as well. Any help would be appreciated.
Many full time residents of this community work for NYPD and FDNY. They need your help now. Please contribute whatever you can.
I have not set up a pay site on this website yet. If you want to donate please contact me at 321-443-0433 to discuss how to donate. I accept checks and I believe I can take credit cards through my business. I have to check with my Bank. Thank you.
