“My name is Tamara and a few years ago I was homeless, unemployed, did not have a doctor for my baby, and was unsure about parenting a new baby. While at Brehon House I learned to set goals for myself, my family and my baby. With the support I received at Brehon, I learned to prepare for my future and my baby’s future. My son is 8 years old and he is thriving. I am working full time. I am so grateful for the safe and nurturing environment I had at Brehon House.” Established in 1978, Brehon Institute for Family Services, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 agency located in Tallahassee, Florida. This is a request for support of Brehon House, a transitional housing program in Tallahassee, Florida for homeless, pregnant women and their children. Brehon House is the ONLY maternity home between Jacksonville and Pensacola that is for this purpose. We shelter families and place them into more permanent housing. Your contribution will positively affect our agency’s mission – to improve the lives of children and their families by providing services that promote healthy babies and prevent child abuse and neglect – by providing basic necessities for Brehon House residents. Your support of will allow Brehon to provide homeless families with the services that they so desperately need and would ensure that homeless mothers receive the health care, education, and social services support to become self-reliant and to raise healthy children. We invite you to personally tour Brehon House to see this program firsthand. If you wish to visit our facility or need further information or verification, please feel free to contact me in Tallahassee at 850-656-7110 or via email at email@example.com.
