EVENT DATE: Oct 19, 2013
We're hoping that our wedding can be a joyful occasion for more than just us - but also the community around us. Your presence alone is a gift to us, but we hope that you will also consider a gift to one of these causes that is very close to our heart.
In Indianapolis, there are a shocking number of homeless families with children. The Dayspring Center, where Brendan serves as board president, exists not only to provide shelter for families, but to address the circumstances that caused the family to become homeless in the first place. Over the course of 60-90 days in the shelter, and followup programs lasting a year, Dayspring lovingly helps families return home.
Other children find themselves without a home or alienated from their families by virtue of their sexuality. Indiana Youth Group gives LGBT youth and their friends a safe place to gather and find support with trained adult supervision. Brendan and Frank both benefited in their younger years from similar programs in Raleigh and Atlanta, and it's our privilege to support this organization in our adopted home today.
