My workplace, BCCS, is participating in the 3rd Annual AtTAcK addiction 5k, which takes place on Saturday, March 5, 2016 in New Castle, DE. The focus in on Drug/Alcohol awareness, education, and prevention.
The funds AtTAcK Addiction raises goes directly to help people with the disease of addiction: to help refurbished furniture and provide household items to Oxford Recovery Houses; pay for ramps for disabled persons; provide funds for client processing fees and rent to move in. They are spending money on awareness resources such as: The state of DE passed the 911 Good Samaritan Law 1.5 years ago, to prevent Overdose deaths. They've created brochures to hand out at table top events such Veterans Mental Health Conference and Beast of the East (wrestling tournament). They funded the "Passport to Awareness" where BCCS conducted the first community Naloxone training.
Please consider funding this group to provide further addiction resources and education to communities in DE.
