BENEFITING: TEAM RED WHITE & BLUE
EVENT DATE: Oct 17, 2015
In 2015 I have become involved with Team Red, White, and Blue, an organization made of both veterans and civilians committed to helping veterans get connected to their local communities through physical activity. In March I met individuals from this organization at the Kansas City Big 12 Run, I loved the spirt they showed and how they supported each other, they even allowed me to get a photograph with the Kansas Jayhawks flag they carried during the race.
Since then I have become involved through volunteering with them at some local races and of course "wearing the Eagle" at all of my races. I love seeing other Team RWB members at the races and they always provide that extra boost of energy when I need it.
Waddell and Reed was kind enough to sponsor me in the 2015 Kansas City Marathon being held on October 17. In return I want to run for Team RWB, one of the official charity partners of the race this year. My goal is to get at least 26 people (one for every mile) to make a gift of at least $10 to this cause and support our veterans. Your support would mean a lot to me, and most important your support will positively impact the lives of our country's veterans!
If you are at the KC Marathon be sure to cheer for all those you see wearing the Eagle!
