BENEFITING: Project Kindle
Project Kindle's primary purpose is to provide cost-free camping programs, year round support and advocacy for children, young adults and families infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS and to offer innovative peer-based HIV/AIDS education for young people ages 6-24.
Camp Kindle provides a loving environment where these youths are free to be open about the different ways HIV/AIDS affects their lives. In this familial environment, stigma has no place, kids need not fear teasing, violence, or hatred. At camp these kids are just kids.
Camp's continuation is entirely dependent upon volunteers, grants, and private donations. It costs approximately $1000 to send a child to camp.
This will be my 6th year and 9th camp session as a volunteer counselor for Camp Kindle, and i want to make it better than ever. Please help me send two kids to camp by raising $2000.
