Brian Alexander vs. Cancer

If I Ever Leave This World Alive
October 15, 2016
Brian was diagnosed with cancer in Spring 2014, with tumors in his leg, near his lungs, and on his sacrum. Over the past year, he endured radiation treatment, four rounds of chemotherapy, and two surgeries (inner thigh and right chest). In February 2015, we celebrated his 36th birthday and took a small sigh of relief that he made it this far. It unfortunately was short lived, because in May, the pain was back and with it came another round of radiation. This past week, Brian’s been back at the hospital numerous times, and they discovered a pleural effusion, which they drained on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. The fluid removed showed increased protein levels, typical of cancer. We found out today, September 16, 2015, that there's a tumor in his chest that's caused one of his lungs to partially collapse. He’s on pain meds, and unfortunately, looking miserable and in an inordinate amount of pain. The battle is not over, and he needs your help. Brian has a wife, Maureen, and son Eddie. Brian’s only been able to work sporadically during the past year. Maureen has been juggling work, Brian’s hospital bouts, and household and parental responsibilities – strong lady! They’ve all been through so much since the initial diagnosis. Anything you can give, prayers included, would help with Brian’s care and their family. Thank you for any support you can give! F@CK CANCER!!!
