Ainsley's Angels is thrilled to help ensure Briana can soon roll with the wind in her very own freedom push chair! With your generosity, we are certain this can happen soon. As the father of two very special girls that race together with me, I know that the positive energy surrounding the start line as we prepare to be included and "roll with the wind", and the normalcy of the family, is a therapy like no other.
Here is a note from Briana's mother:
Briana was born with Spina Bifida and has a lot difficulty walking long distances. Even walking across her school wears her out. She cannot go many of the same places other kids can because she cannot walk far enough. Having a way for her to do things with us outside that she can enjoy would mean a lot to us. She would be able to go on many of the hiking trails that we have not been able to travel since she outgrew her backpack. She would be able to go to places like the museums and zoos with family or her school, without having to worry that we will have to carry her. This would be such a help to keep her involved in family and allow us all to get out and do more that not having a stroller to fit her has been preventing us from doing. She pushes herself to be just like other kids and it is a deep disappointment when she cannot keep up or do things the other kids can. With the help of a stroller she would be able to go so many more places that her friends can go because she cannot walk that far or is not steady enough on her feet for the uneven ground.
