Fragile X syndrome (FXS) is a genetic condition that causes intellectual disability, behavioral and learning challenges and various physical characteristics. FXS is the most common known genetic cause of autism. It can cause learning and behavior challenges ranging from mild to severe. Over 1 million individuals nationwide have, or are at risk, of carrying the Fragile X mutation. As many as 1 out of 151 women and 1 in 468 males are carriers of the Fragile X gene and are at risk.
Please join us to help raise both awareness and critically needed research dollars! In addition to our search for a cure, we are raising funds to provide Fragile X experts to our families, teachers and therapists.
