Brian Sillitto is the Executive Vice President of Economic Development at the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce. He works to attract new companies to the Columbus Region and works with existing companies that are considering expanding here.
Brian has been working in the field of Economic Development for 14 years and his direct work has led to the announcement of nearly 70 project locations or expansions resulting in the creation of more than 5,000 new jobs and $600 million in capital investment.
Brian has worked with such companies as Aflac, TSYS, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Pratt & Whitney, Hostess, Convergys, Kodak, and FedEx Ground, just to name a few.
In 2016 Brian earned the designation of Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), a national recognition that denotes a mastery of skills in economic development, professional attainment and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
Many in the Columbus area became familiar with him Brian as "Brian Sharpe” – when he was a member of the WRBL News 3 anchor team for over eight years.
Brian is also the “voice” of the Lumpkin Center at Columbus State University – as the Public Address Announcer at the Cougars home basketball games.
