Sleep is a fundamental part of living...even living for Christ, but we have to sleep at the right times so that we are alert and able to do the things we need to do. Sometimes when the Lord calls me to do something, I have doubts about whether I can do it because my narcolepsy zaps my energy and drive; but He always gives me the strength to push through it. And this happens in all aspects of my life; I am continuously "pushing through" to get things done. It is my hope that my friends and family will support Project Sleep's efforts to "make peace with sleep" and to "make sleep cool" and that everyone understands just how difficult it is to live with a sleep disorder. I also hope that this campaign reaches out to the "lost sheep of sleep" (those who are unaware they have a sleep disorder) so they can be counted and know they are "not alone". Christ has been my Salvation for my life, but Project Sleep has been my salvation for my narcolepsy...thanks Julie Flygare!
