BENEFITING: Music For Relief
EVENT DATE: Nov 29, 2014
I'm turning 40. There. I said it. I've had 40 years of opening all kinds of cool things. And while things are nice, they're just things.
This year, I can't think of any things that I need. Except maybe a smaller waistline. And my youth. And an Apple Watch, but it doesn't come out until next year. All of those would be nice.
So in lieu of buying me a beer or a meal or a gift certificate, nothing would make my birthday better than a donation to a cause near and dear to me.
Music for Relief is a non-profit that does the kinds of things I wish I could do.
Things like responding to more than twenty disasters across four continents including the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, China’s Wenchuan earthquake, a cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe, the 2011 earthquake & tsunami in Japan and Hurricane Sandy.
Or planting over 1 million trees to help reduce global warming.
So while I may not be the kind of person that actually does these things, I am the kind of person that supports the people that actually do these things. And now you can be too.
Please click on the DONATE button and give whatever you can and help me raise $2,500 for my 40th birthday. Your donation will not only go to a very meaningful cause, but it will also help me feel just a bit better about turning 40.
