Providing a heroes welcome for our military and first responder brides is the call to action for Brides Across America. Moved by an article about deployed troops that felt forgotten by their country, Heidi Janson decided to show her support. Heidi did what she does best: finding the perfect dream wedding gown for deserving military brides. In 2007, Heidi gave away 50 wedding gowns. The events grew nationwide. A modest start for Brides Across America Inc., which to date, has donated over 10,000 free wedding gowns to military brides. The organization garnered the attention of ABC's Nightly News in 2011 and 2012, and a People Magazine article in June of 2013. However, their highest honor was received during a 2012 White House event hosted by Michelle Obama and Jill Biden. The event recognized private citizens for their contributions to improving the lives of military families.
The smiles and heartfelt gratitude of all our brides is the impetus to continue our mission. Brides Across America has designed and developed fundraising events in conjunction with over 60 Bridal Salons across the country in 29 states. Our heroes deserve the dress of their dreams ,a day to remember and a memory to last a lifetime. With your support, we can continue to reach out to more deserving military brides - making their wedding day dreams come true.
