We are doing it again Chicago! Friends and supporters of BTF Chicago are running/walking the Glo Run Chicago on July 16th, 2016 to fundraise for Girls’ Empowerment Scholarships. As in the past, this annual event is intended to support our ongoing efforts at providing a path to education for marginalized girls in economically challenged areas of Turkey. For many young girls in rural areas of Turkey, the path to education is a very difficult one or plainly non-existent due to financial hardships. Restrictive and harmful traditions make this path even more difficult to be realized for them. It is a cycle of poverty that perpetuates a societal problem and robes them of the opportunity to get an education and become productive citizens. Because of YOU, last year thirty six (36) young girls were given a chance to pursue a path to education. Additional scholarships funds are needed to keep these girls in school for another school year. Support our fundraising efforts directed at enabling these young girls with a path to education. A donation of $ 50 will cover a monthly scholarship for a college student. Consider joining our team of captains to help us achieve our fundraising goals. Children with parents are welcome to join our team. Other ways YOU can help with this fundraising campaign is to spread the word about it within your circle of friends and/or sponsor a student directly by donating here http://www.bridgetoturkiye.org/chicago/ Thank you for enabling the change YOU want to see in Turkey! Bridge to Türkiye Fund (BTF) is a US based, volunteer run, charitable non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. All of your donations to BTF go to the underserved children in Turkey with no operational cut because BTF’s operational overhead (2%) is funded in full by BTF board members.
