The Bridges Program serves homeless children attending school in Lee, Hendry, or Glades counties and their families, with an emphasis on the goal of self-sufficiency.
One of the biggest struggles these children face is in maintaining regular school attendance and positive school performance during trying circumstances such as homelessness. To that end, the Bridges program was developed to address four basic goals that can have a positive impact on homeless children and their families.
1) Stable employment/income
2) Stable housing
3) Stable medical care
4) Improved school attendance and performance
