YOUR donation can help the community of Bajo Maiz in Panama to build a bridge across their seasonally impassable river.
In June 2017, the UIUC Bridges to Prosperity (UIUC B2P) will be sending a team of 8 students to build a suspended bridge at Panama. We are now intending to fundraise $12,500 for the material costs, travel costs, and other project-related expenses.
The UIUCB2P is a student-run chapter under the international, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Bridges to Prosperity. We engage students in the design and construction of bridges for rural communities in developing counties.
Your money goes to the project-related expenses of the bridge ($12,500), and any exceeding the goal will go to fund expenses for lodging, protective gears, and the air tickets for the travel team.
