EVENT: The NO MORE Challenge
"I think I've been through every form of abuse that has been described. It all started at the tender age of 4 and it continued until I was 39, when I finally made the critical decision to escape my worst nightmare. I've been tormented and tortured, violated and traumatized, threatened and beaten. But still, today I feel whole. I do not see myself as a victim, but as a survivor. In the darkness of despair, I found healing in every person that offered help in all different ways...prayer, support, shelter, food, compassion, understanding, clothes and toys to cheer up the kids. I think you need to know you are part of something greater than you might think." - Rita
Rita is just one of many clients that Bridges Domestic Violence Center has served. Because of the generous support of individuals like you, Bridges is able to provide shelter, basic living needs, counseling, children's advocacy, outreach services, support groups, court advocacy and a 24-hour hotline for victims of physical, mental and sexual abuse.
Bridges is located in Williamson County, the fastest growing county in the state of Tennessee. As our community grows, the needs become even larger. We hope you will consider making a donation to Bridges and showing your commitment to the belief that no woman, man or child, under any circumstance, should be subjected to domestic abuse.
Thank you for helping us rebuild lives!
