ORGANIZER: Brigham and Women's Hospital
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
I have been running cross country and track since the 6th grade and was lucky enough to continue running in college here in Boston. I made it my goal to run the marathon by the time I graudate and was lucky enough to get accepted to run for the Brigham and Women's Hospital 2015 Boston Marathon Team my freshman year!
I will spend the weeks leading up to April 20th training to run to support BWH's cancer research because cancer has afflicted members of my family including my Mom. The funds I raise will help fund necessary research to save the lives of many others just like my Mom.
I need the help of my friends and family not only to raise the money but to motivate me to continue training hard so I can complete the 26.2 mile course in my goal of 4 hours and 10 minutes.
A proud partner with the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.), Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is excited to present two exceptional Boston Marathon teams this year: our core BWH Marathon Team, which supports life-giving breakthroughs across all disciplines and disease areas at the hospital; and the Stepping Strong Marathon Team, initiated by a Boston Marathon bombing survivor, which fuels innovative research and clinical programs in trauma healing and limb reconstruction at BWH. Since 1998, our BWH Marathon Team has raised more than $6.6 million to support world-class patient-centered care, groundbreaking research, community programs, and education for the next generation of healthcare leaders. Thank you for supporting this transformational work.
