THE STORY:

Tara Peed wrote -

On February 29, 2008 , Landon Wade Peed made his way into our world and our hearts.....yes, you read correctly.....he is a leap baby, a special day for a special boy! As we approached Landon's 3rd birthday, we were faced with the decision of where to send him for preschool. It was daunting to consider what would be the best environment for him, so at the urging of his physical therapist, Eliza Bankert, we toured Frankie Lemmon School. We knew immediately that Landon NEEDED to be there! Since 1965, Frankie Lemmon School has provided tuition-free education and support to children with special needs. The school is a recognized model for life-changing special needs preschool services with a strong emphasis on the development of communication skills and independence in daily life. Frankie Lemmon School was such a wonderful source of support and education for Mr. Landon and they have become family to us in so many ways. Although he has graduated and is now in 2nd grade, we will always support them in their efforts to provide for a greater number of children. AND NOW, DRUMROLL PLEASE.......Frankie Lemmon School is now providing a SUPERIOR TUITION-FREE education to 68 students! They opened the doors to their new facility on January 4, 2016!! We are asking that you please join us in supporting The Bright Futures Campaign to give more children like Mr. Landon the opportunity they deserve. Every gift makes a difference!
