THE STORY:

As many of you know, I volunteer for a non-profit organization called Bright Beginnings Inc. in Washington, DC. Bright Beginnings provides homeless infants, toddlers, and preschoolers (aged six weeks to five years) with a safe, nurturing, educational environment. It prepares the children to enter kindergarten ready to learn, and also supports parents as they stabilize their home lives.

Each year, the Junior League of Washington organizes a 5K race to benefit Bright Beginnings. This year’s race will take place at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 2nd at West Potomac Park in Washington, DC. If you are interested in supporting Bright Beginnings, you can do so by registering to run or walk at http://bbi5k.eventbrite.com/#, or by donating through this website. Registration is $30. When registering, please enter "MChad” as the promotion code and hit apply. All race participants receive a t-shirt and are eligible for raffle prizes! The race is a lot of fun and supports a great cause. I hope that you will choose to participate (either by running, walking, donating or cheering the race participants on)!
