in the very poor villages of Ushirika and Mlale in western Tanzania are many children whose families are too poor to send them to school, and the options for school is limited. two classrooms are currently built, and to continue the education and offer places for the many children waiting, two additional classrooms are needed to be constructed by the end of 2013. i am committed to helping the founder, Deo Shayo, succeed in his vision to help these children be the future for their families and their villages. education is the path out of poverty.
The Brilliant Pre and Primary School ia focused on providing quality education for the children, we are happy to give back in the ways we can to give these children and families the best chance for future success. Something that most of us in the western developed world take for granted, don’t you agree?
The school founder, Deo Shayo – was once one of these children, living in a very poor community, raised by various family members, and yet he always understood the power of education. Today, because he was blessed by opportunity and others that helped him receive not only his primary and secondary education but supported him through vocational schools. His heart has guided him to be part of the change for the children and families in these villages. And he knows that he has been blessed by God; in that, he in turn shares what he has with others.
Last year, two classrooms were built, providing space for education for 113 children. However, there are so many more that need the opportunity, not to mention needing the next level for those class 1 students. We are convinced that the time is now to construct the next 2 classrooms so that progress can continue for these children, children whom are the future for their families….and their villages.
We can’t do it alone, we’re hoping that you and your friends, family, and coworkers will help us achieve the $10,000 goal. Since 20,000 bricks are needed (which they have already made), each $1.00 purchases 2 bricks and construction worth.
We’d sure appreciate it if you could help us spread the word to help us meet—and hopefully surpass—the goal. Share the story, and the opportunity for others to give in fairly small ways that make a HUGE difference in the lives of these children.
