BENEFITING: EMBOLDEN ALLIANCES
EVENT DATE: May 01, 2017
Thank you for considering investing in this partnership to emBOLDen our community-based partner, FVS-AMADE in Burundi! Phase I of our collaboration has been graciously funded by an award from the Segal Family Foundation, but we need your support to ensure that Phase II of this critical work is actualized.
The first $5,000 in donations will be matched by a Donor Matching Fund, DOUBLING your donation!
FVS-AMADE Burundi's mission is to protect the fundamental rights of orphans and vulnerable children for their full and healthy development. Some of their goals include, but are not limited to: ensuring a high standard of health and education for every child, supporting legal aid and protection for children, reducing poverty in Burundi and increasing the economic self-sufficiency of vulnerable households for the ultimate well-being of children. Founded by two rockstar Burundian sisters, FVS-AMADE has been working in the community for more than 21 years to serve the people they love.
What will we do together?
The critical work of this human rights-based, community-driven organization resonated loudly with emBOLDen Alliances, and we are honored to join them in this partnership. FVS-AMADE has prioritized the need for improved and sustainable Monitoring & Evaluation practices - they know their organization is impactful, but don't have a system to consistently and reliably measure and demonstrate their impressive results. Addressing this will be the crux of our partnership work.
Using eA’s proven tools for Monitoring and Evaluation and our 65+ years of hands-on experience, we've already begun Phase I of our program: listening to their needs, understanding their current programs and context, and beginning to create and tailor tools together.
Phase II of our program is not yet funded. Thus, we need your help!
How did we find this organization?
We first met FVS-AMADE Burundi in December 2016 while both organizations were attending the Global Summit on Community Philanthropy in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our Team Member Maya Casagrande met Rémy Nsengiyumva from FVS-AMADE and instantly recognized the incredible work he was doing. Maya most valued both how FVS-AMADE works at the grassroots level with their vulnerable communities - most of which have been significantly affected by civil unrest – and that the organization had internally identified a need to better measure and demonstrate their impact, not just outputs. And, Rémy quickly realized that a partnership with emBOLDen Alliances would help his organization reach their goals and become more self-sufficient and effective.
What can you do?
An investment today would help realize the maximum impact of this partnership! emBOLDen Alliances is dedicated to unpacking the full potential of every organization with whom we partner, but we need you to help us get there. Can you do that for us? For FVS-AMADE? For the community – and the children – in Burundi?
100% of donations made through this campaign will support this partnership.
Thank you for your generosity and dedication to humanity!
Sincerely, -The emBOLDen Alliances Team
