Camp Rap A Hope is a week long summer camp for kids that are currently battling cancer or have fought it in the past. Camp Rap A Hope provides completely free fun for children that miss out on a lot of fun because of their illnesses. Camp Rap A Hope now offers a siblings weekend for the brothers and sisters of children who have been diagnosed with cancer. This weekend gives the siblings of cancer patients a chance to have some great camp fun too, because cancer affects the entire family. Camp is so important to me because my twin sister, Sara, was diagnosed with cancer when we were four years old. She attended Camp Rap A Hope for many years and now we both serve as camp counselors. I give to Camp Rap A Hope because it did so much for my sister, but it has blessed me too. I love that I now get to serve at camp and experience all of things Sara would describe. She told me of all of the fun, laughter, and people that immediately accepted her. She spoke of the horrible things each of her new friends had to endure and how she was then able to notice strength within herself. She told me of the love and faith that they all shared for each other. Most importantly, she described the hope that her new camp family had given her. Please help me to reach my goal of $500 to send one child to Camp Rap A Hope.
