THE STORY:

The small town of Porterville, part of the San Joaquin Valley that grows more than 70% of the US's fruits and vegetables, is slowly drying out. The people living in the "Eastside", who consist of mainly migrant workers, are wholly dependant on independent water wells that have began to dry up due to our drought. The city requires $2 million dollars to build an underground infrastructure connecting this part of town to the city's main pipeline. However, it only costs $5,000-6,000 to dig deeper and tap new sources of fresh water for these people. By raising $50,000, I hope to help at least 100 families who rely on 10 gallons of water a day for their daily needs. The temperatures in Porterville can reach over 100 degrees so water is a fundamental part of their lives. Every person who donates will receive a personalized "thank you" letter from the people you've helped. Even $1 dollar can make a huge difference.
