EVENT DATE: Apr 10, 2013
My mother is a quadriplegic. She is the most spectacular person in the world. Prior to her accident she volunteered all her time as an assistance dog trainer for ADAI (Assistance Dogs of America Inc.). These dogs help out everyone from elderly to blind. She is now in an assisted living household with 24 hour care. She met the most amazing guy through a blind date and they have hit it off since. Her Boyfriend , Brad, is the proud owner of a 1984 Chevrolet Pickup truck with more rust than body, more miles than Santa's Sleigh and more problems than Jay-Z (he's got 99 problems according to his song). Brad is on disability due to an accident that happened year back at his last job and has been unable to work since. Before the accident Brad purchased a house for his parents and family to live in and is now currently paying 2 mortgages while trying to live off the small stipend he is receiving from the government. This has left him in a very unfortunate position of choosing to eat or getting reliable transportation. The truck is currently out of commission and he just cant afford to fix it.
How does this all come together?
Without Brad my mother cannot leave the assisted living home to enjoy life. She has a mobile assist van with wheelchair access but is unable to drive. Brad is unable to drive across town to visit my mother without a reliable vehicle.
I have been searching for a good reliable vehicle for Brad that doesn't cost him an arm and leg in gas and repairs. Brad deserves to get something in return for a lifetime of helping others. My mother deserves a guy like Brad who is willing to take care of her and help her out in any way possible.
I am asking for 2500 minimum to purchase Brad a nice reliable used vehicle. I am donating my time an efforts to find him the perfect vehicle and deliver it to him asap. Every penny received will go towards the purchase of the new car. I am currently unemployed and now that I have the time to help Brad but I do not have the money.
This would be the best birthday present to Brad ever.
Thanks to everyone who has read this. Please share it with anyone you think can give me a hand.
