BENEFITING: THE TEKESHE FOUNDATION INC
In 2012 the Tekeshe Foundation aimed to take up the problem of textbook shortages in Rimbi primary and high schools (located in the rural areas of Chipinge district, Zimbabwe). The students are eager to learn and the teachers want to teach, but there are no tangible resources. The majority of educators and students have never even used a computer. Therefore, to alleviate the problem we decided to supply schools with refurbished computers. This computer initiative, would supply 500 students and 20 educators to gain basic access to IT skills, CD curriculum materials and the internet.
