Brittany White Memorial Fund
Organized by: Sheryl Rickman White
On January 2 of this year I received the phone call every parent fears.....my 22 year old daughter, Brittany, had been rushed to the emergency room because she couldn't breathe. My husband, dsughter and I immediately drove to the hospital to discover Brittany had been moved to ICU, placed in a medically induced coma, paralyzed and put on a respirator. For the next 6 days my family and friends stayed with Brittany through her battle with pneumonia, collapsed lungs, septic shock, influenza and diabetic ketoacidosis. On the afternoon of January 8 my husband and I were called back to the hospital by Brittany's grandfather as she had taken a turn for the worse. We arrived in time to get the news from Brittany's doctors there was nothing they could do for her. She lost her brief battle at Approximately 4:30pm. As a parent, you never plan to bury your child. She had just turned 22 on Christmas Day (2014). My husband is disabled and I have been unable to work since her passing due to severe anxiety and depression. We have a wonderful funeral home who performed the services and was willing to allow us to make payments. We have payed the majority off but would like to pay off the remainder so we can work on healing and moving forward. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you snd God bless.
