BrittiCares International - "Helping Children Survive Cancer" one smile at a time
A childhood cancer organization started by an amazingly beautiful, smart, talented and compassionate little girl named Brittiana Renee Henderson that was diagnosed with Bone Cancer (osteogenic sarcoma) at the age of 10. She did various treatments and went into remission, however, soon after she was diagnosed with a second cancer (AML-leukemia). Britt fought courageously for 1 year and earned her Angelic Wings at the age of 13.
During her treatment, Brittiana could not help but think about the other patients visiting the hospital. Not one day went by without her going down to the gift store and surprising a patient with a toy, game, gift, letter, hug or smile. It was then that she decided to start her own non-profit organization. Her parents, communities, corporations, celebrities, families and friends continue to support her mission, and have helped make a difference in the lives of thousands of children battling cancer and their families by providing uplifting programs and services tied to optimism and hope.
