The L3 Foundation stands for Live, Love, Landon. Landon’s 21 month journey with cancer started with a bump on his right foot. It turned out this bump had a name, rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a rare soft tissue cancer. During his fight with cancer Landon truly touched and changed the hearts of the countless people that got to know him and his family. Sadly, on May 21st 2014, this precious child lost his courageous battle and joined God’s fleet of Angels.
Landon’s family and friends have committed to honoring his legacy. Landon’s mom, Jaymi, talked with Landon about the L3 Foundation. She asked him what we should focus on. He said these two things: Help other children and their families who are fighting childhood cancer and Research (find a cure). So, Landon, this is what we are going to do. We are going to do something and we are going to make a difference. Not only for you but for all the other children who so bravely fight a fight they didn’t ask for.
From triathlons to talent shows, turkey trots to 55 hour Ultra Marathons, collecting parking tokens and gift cards, Landon's friends and family and community have been doing something! Last year, the L3 Foundation presented a check for $100,000 to Texas Children's Hospital and are funding an actual team of doctors for a specific research project aimed at finding a cure. This year, On Saturday, May 20 , the L3 Foundation's Dancer’s Kickin’ Cancer will organize, in collaboration with the Kingwood Fillies, the K Park Silverstars and the Kingwood Strutters, a Danceathon and has its sights set on raising over $20,000 to fund pediatric cancer research and help families fighting cancer! Join us and do something!
