PORT CHARLOTTE - A motorcycle rider was critically injured Wednesday morning when a car turned in front of him, the Florida Highway Patrol reports. According to an FHP news release, Esther Canja, 88, of Port Charlotte was driving a Honda Civic west in the left turn lane of Midway Boulevard, approaching Aaron Street, at about 8:47 a.m. Glenn Stockert, 54, of Port Charlotte was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle east in the right lane of Midway, also approaching Aaron Street. Canja failed to see Stockert approaching, the FHP reports, and turned left in front of him. The motorcycle's front and right side struck the right side of the Civic and the bike overturned, FHP reports. Stockert fell off and landed in the road next to his motorcycle. im raising money to modify my van so I can use a wheelchair and also selling my house to buy one with a flat driveway and walkway and no big roots sticking up all over the yard.
