Childhood obesity is a public health concern in the U.S., and it’s especially prevalent in the Bronx. That’s why at Bronx House Community Center we’re always looking for fun, engaging ways to keep kids active. One powerful tool is a rock climbing wall. Using harnesses and other safety equipment, children, teens and tweens are physically challenged while also learning how to work their way around obstacles, achieve more than they thought they could, and work well alone and as part of a team.
We’ve received a partial grant to build a rock climbing wall at Bronx House. Now our team is working to raise the rest of the funds we need. If we can’t, we have to return the grant. But with your help, we know we can meet the Bronx House Rock Climbing Wall Challenge.
