BENEFITING: BRONX VETERANS MEDICAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2013
This amazing City has so much natural, architectural, and cultural beauty. It is a gift to be able to walk and run all over it.
Those who have suffered neurological injuries and are currently unable to do this should never give up hope. Just like the marathon, paralysis can be a long, slow journey - but there are many people working on making that journey easier.
I am running to raise money for the Bronx Veterans Medical Research Foundation. Our center is a mix of physicians, phsyiologists, engineers, coordinators, therapists, and volunteers, all united by the goal of finding better treatments for spinal cord injury and its secondary consequences. The work we do could be applied to people with many other types of illnesses, including Lou Gehrig's Disease, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, and stroke.
For more information on our research studies, see our website at: www.scirc.org
Please contribute to research that can improve the odds for getting people back on their feet. Thank you!!
