BENEFITING: FAYETTE COUNTY ANIMAL RESCUE
Brooke and her 10 three day old babies were rescued by Fayette County Animal Rescue (FCAR). Brooke was extremely skinny and dehydrated. It would have been an impossible task of caring for her 10 puppies by herself in the ravine where she had them. The veterinary cost to vaccinate, spay/neuter, deworm, etc. to get the puppies ready for adoption plus to treat mama Brooke for heartworms will be right about $2,600. We have raised $325 via other means so we lowered our goal on this fundraising site to $2,275. Please help us raise money to care for these babies and wonderful mama dog.
FCAR got a call about a dog that was extremely skinny near a highway. Our volunteers went out and although they could see her from afar, they were unable to get close to her.
They returned with a humane trap and food in an effort to rescue the dog. She appeared to be very skinny however during the rescue effort it became evident that she was a nursing mother. So the search for the babies began... in a ravine. Our volunteers spent over 3 hours on this rescue effort but finally the babies were found! We were then able to set the trap and capture mom (now named Brooke) and rescue the tiny babies.
Fayette County Animal Rescue is a very small organization and the intake of 11 new dogs is a monumental task for us to fund. Please help us raise money for this very important and literally life saving job.
Thank you for your support!
