There's not much better in life than spending good times with good friends—unless, of course, you're "doing good" while you're at it! That's why I'm hosting a barbecue for all you Brookhill peeps. One of the best parts of my day is sitting at the supper table with my hubby and kids. It's not that the experience itself is perfect (someone's usually farting, someone's causing grief by picking on someone else, someone's getting in trouble for feeding the dog at the table, and I'm likely complaining about all of it) but underneath it all, the feeling I get from being around that table is happiness. We're eating a good meal that keeps us healthy, in a cozy house that keeps us safe. Not everyone has that luxury. 1 in 21 Nova Scotians relies on a food bank at some point during the year. My goal is to raise enough money for Feed Nova Scotia to distribute food for 500 meals so more people can enjoy those suppertime moments. That means I need to raise $333. I hope you'll help by making a donation.
