BENEFITING: Educational Fund to Stop Gun Violence
EVENT DATE: May 18, 2013
Like millions of others, I have been horrified, angered, and saddened by stories of gun violence which take place with frightening regularity in this country and around the world. But the massacre at Sandy Hook shook me out of complacency. I want to do more than wring my hands and sign the occasional petition to help build a future free of gun violence for my children.
I recently started running, and am taking the plunge beyond 10K to run the Brooklyn Half Marathon this coming May 18th. I want to use this personal challenge to seek support for the Educational Fund to Stop Gun Violence. This is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit coalition which seeks to secure freedom from gun violence through research, strategic engagement and effective policy advocacy. You can learn more about them at www.csgv.org.
If you agree that the protection from gun violence is essential for our children, our families and people everywhere, then I hope you will support me with a tax-deductible donation. You can do so via this link.
Thank you for your support,
