BENEFITING: WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT

EVENT: Tough Mudder Twin Cities

EVENT DATE: Jul 18, 2015

THE STORY:

We're running the MN Tough Mudder for two great organizations, the Wounded Warrior Project and HomeAid America! Your support is greatly appreciated!

After completing the Wisconsin Tough Mudder and raising over $2,600 for the Wounded Warrior Project (“WWP”) in 2011, we’re back for more! We’re running the Twin Cities Tough Mudder on July 18th, and this year we’re raising the stakes and targeting a $5,000 fundraise for WWP. An aggressive target, sure, especially given we have about 10 days to do it. Fortunately, we’ve got a great proposal for your consideration that will make your donation go twice as far!

Isles Ranch Partners (www.islesranch.com) has generously committed to match up to $5,000 of the funds our campaign generates for WWP, and contribute the match to HomeAid America. Yes, that means that your donation will have twice the impact and help raise up to a total of $10,000 for two great organizations. If you aren’t familiar with either WWP or HomeAid America, we’ve included brief overviews below.

Our team greatly appreciates any support you’re willing to provide. Any amount helps us get closer to our goal. Most importantly, it’s going to two great organizations serving often overlooked segments of our population: our country’s war heroes and our community’s homeless.

Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org):

Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization with the mission to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. WWP programs are specifically structured to engage warriors, nurture their minds and bodies, and encourage their economic empowerment. Family members and caregivers are provided comfort, care and education to help support the recovery of their injured warrior. All programs are provided free of charge for warriors, their families, and caregivers. Through a high-touch and interactive approach, WWP hopes to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history.

HomeAid America (www.homeaid.org):

HomeAid is a leading national non-profit provider of housing for today's homeless. The organization builds and renovates multi-unit shelters for America's homeless families and individuals through local chapters in 16 markets across the country, each working with the local building industry to give back to the community. HomeAid has provided housing for more than 220,000 individuals who have been rendered temporarily homeless due to circumstances beyond their control. Through the generosity of America's builders, their trade partners, financial institutions, and the public, HomeAid has built more than 400 project shelters with an additional 50 in development. These shelters provide more than 7,500 beds per night nationwide. Each bed serves an average of three people per year.
